Secret Powers Awaken A Look at Pokémon TCG's Perfect Order

The Pokémon Company has officially revealed the next major English expansion for the Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution: Perfect Order. Scheduled for release in March 2026, this set continues the return to the Kalos region and the fan-favourite Mega Evolution mechanic, with the legendary Pokémon Mega Zygarde ex serving as the set’s powerful mascot.

This new English expansion is the direct equivalent of the highly anticipated Japanese set, Nihil Zero, which launches in January. For collectors who want an early, in-depth look at the cards that will be included, our complete guide to the Nihil Zero set is available here. This Pokémon TCG Perfect Order Guide will focus on the English release, breaking down everything we know so far, from the full product line-up to the format-defining new cards.

Quick-Reference Set Details

  • English Set Name: Mega Evolution: Perfect Order
  • Release Date: March 27, 2026
  • Prerelease Window: March 14–22, 2026
  • Key Features: Over 120 cards, headlined by Mega Zygarde ex. The set introduces a powerful Meowth ex and several new Trainer cards designed to shape the game after the annual format rotation.

The Set's Most Important Cards

Perfect Order introduces several powerful new Pokémon ex and Mega Evolution Pokémon ex that are set to make an immediate impact.

The set’s mascot, Mega Zygarde ex, is a Basic Mega Evolution, meaning it can be played directly without needing to evolve. Its first attack, “Gaia Wave,” is a solid defensive option, dealing 200 damage and reducing the damage it takes on the following turn. Its second attack, “Nullifying Zero,” is a high-risk, high-reward move that can potentially clear an opponent’s entire board by flipping a coin for each of their Pokémon and dealing 150 damage on a heads.

One of the most discussed cards from the set is Meowth ex, due to its powerful “Last-Ditch Catch” Ability. When played from the hand to the bench, it allows a player to search their deck for any Supporter card. This kind of ability, which provides incredible deck consistency, has a history of being a staple in competitive play.

A Guide to the Perfect Order Product Lineup

This expansion will be released with a full range of products, offering different ways for players and collectors to experience the set.

Elite Trainer Boxes

The Elite Trainer Box is the flagship product for collectors. The standard version of the Perfect Order ETB includes 9 booster packs, a full-art foil promo card featuring Tyrunt, and a complete set of themed accessories, including 65 card sleeves, dice, and a player’s guide.

For the dedicated collector, the Pokémon Center Exclusive Elite Trainer Box offers even more. It contains 11 booster packs and two copies of the Tyrunt promo card—one of which features a unique Pokémon Center stamp, making it a highly desirable collector’s item.
