The Next Chapter: Winterspell (February 2026)
The first main set of the new year is Winterspell, scheduled for release on February 13th, 2026. The first card reveals point towards a chilly, action-packed theme. We’ve seen the official debut of a snowboarding Stitch – Carefree Snowboarder, his companion Angel – Siren Singer, and the long-awaited arrival of the iconic crime-fighting duo, Darkwing Duck – Dashing Gadgeteer and his trusty sidekick Launchpad – Trusty Sidekick.
Alongside the standard booster boxes and Illumineer’s Troves, this set will launch with several brand-new product types designed to welcome new players and give collectors exciting new items to chase.
New Ways to Collect and Play in Early 2026
The product line-up for Disney Lorcana 2026 is expanding significantly. Arriving alongside the Winterspell release window are several unique items.
The Official Collector's Guides (February 1, 2026)
For the first time, Ravensburger is releasing two official Disney Lorcana Collector’s Guides. These books are designed as definitive resources for collectors, featuring full-colour catalogues of every card from the game’s first two years, split into Sets 1-4 and Sets 5-8. More than just a checklist, these guides will also contain new short stories that explore the lore behind the sets. A separate Disney Lorcana Notebook with 160 pages and a gold foil cover will also be released, perfect for tracking trades or taking notes during tournaments.
Collection Starter Set – Stitch Edition (March 13, 2026)
Designed as the perfect entry point for new collectors, this set is themed around the fan-favourite Experiment 626. It includes a card portfolio featuring the “Stitch – Rock Star” art, four booster packs to kick-start a collection, a guide booklet, and an exclusive Glimmer Foil promo card of Stitch – Carefree Snowboarder.
Scrooge McDuck Gift Box (March 13, 2026)
This unique gift box offers something different. It includes a sturdy storage box for your collection, three card dividers, an exclusive Glimmer Foil promo card of Scrooge McDuck – S.H.U.S.H. Agent, and, most interestingly, five random booster packs from previous sets. This makes it a great way for players to get their hands on cards from older, potentially hard-to-find expansions.
2-Player Starter Set (May 8, 2026)
To make it easier than ever to bring new players into the game, a dedicated 2-Player Starter Set is being released. This single box contains everything two people need to play right out of the box, including two pre-built 60-card decks (Amber/Emerald and Amethyst/Ruby), playmats, lore trackers, and tokens.
A New Frontier: Wilds Unknown (Q2 2026)
The second main set of the year is Wilds Unknown, scheduled for a Q2 2026 release. This expansion will take players to a new frontier, with artwork revealing a “Wild West” inspired theme featuring a major crossover with the world of Pixar’s Toy Story, including new versions of Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
The most exciting part of this release is a brand-new way to experience a set for the first time. The traditional Build & Battle pre-release kits are being replaced with a new product called the Illumineer’s Quest – Wilds Unknown. This is a cooperative adventure game in a box, where 1-4 players work together to defeat a powerful Ursula villain.
It comes with a secret victory card, a lore book, two pre-constructed player decks, a gameplay mat, and randomised promo cards. It’s a completely new, story-driven way to engage with a set’s release.
Whispers From the Future: Turning Red and Beyond
Looking even further ahead, Ravensburger has also teased that a set based on Pixar’s Turning Red is in development. This confirms their commitment to exploring modern animated classics alongside the timeless ones, ensuring the world of Disney Lorcana 2026 and beyond will be full of surprises.
