Cockroach Poker (Kakerlakenpoker)

Can you master the art of deception and keep a straight face? Cockroach Poker is a hilariously cunning bluffing game where telling the truth is optional, but getting caught in a lie can be costly! This bug-rilliant card game will have you second-guessing your friends as you try to pass off cards featuring an assortment of creepy (and not-so-creepy) critters like stink bugs, toads, rats, bats, and, of course, cockroaches.
In Cockroach Poker, players attempt to trick each other into collecting sets of unwanted critter cards. On your turn, you’ll secretly pass a card to another player, declaring what critter it is – you can tell the truth or you can lie! The receiving player has a choice:
- Believe you: They look at the card. If you were telling the truth, they must take the card face up in front of them. If you lied, you must take the card!
- Call your bluff: They declare “True!” or “Lie!” If they’re right, you take the card. If they’re wrong, they take the card.
- Pass it on: They can peek at the card and then try to pass it to another player, making their own declaration (true or false) about its identity.
The game ends when one player collects four of the same critter card in front of them, or when a player has no cards left to pass on their turn. That player loses, and everyone else wins! Simple rules, but endless opportunities for clever bluffs, daring calls, and laugh-out-loud moments.
