Previously we showcased some of the revealed cards from the upcoming Pokémon set Paradise Dragona – now, at We Love Collectibles, were happy to show of the full main set. It’s packed with stunning new cards. While we’ve covered some of the initial sneak peeks before, we now have a complete picture of what’s to come, including some incredible Illustration Rares and Full Art Supporter cards that are sure to capture the attention of collectors and players alike.
In addition to the Paradise Dragona reveal, we’re gearing up for the highly anticipated English set Stellar Crown, launching on September 14th. Not only is this set filled with amazing cards, but it’s also open for pre-orders on our online store! – so grab a booster box, or two, if you’re looking to master this set!
Many of the cards from Paradise Dragona will find their way into the English version of the Surging Sparks set, which is scheduled for release in November 2024. So, whether you’re looking for the latest Japanese exclusives or gearing up for the next big English set, we’ve got you covered!
With all that said, let’s break down the most exciting reveals from Paradise Dragona.
Illustration Rares Steal the Show: Flapple, Appletun, Castform & More
One of the standout features of the Paradise Dragona set is the gorgeous Illustration Rare cards – a staple of recent Scarlett & Violet sets. Fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game know how sought after these cards are, not just for their playability, but also for their stunning artwork.
In Paradise Dragona, several new Illustration Rares have been revealed, including niche favourites like Flapple, Appletun, Castform, Cetitan, Vibrava, and Archaludon.
The detailed artwork on these cards brings each Pokémon to life in a vibrant and unique way, making them must-haves for collectors.
- Flapple & Appletun: These two evolutionary cousins showcase a stunning contrast in their designs. To complete the evolutionary line, we’ve already seen the Hydrapple Illustration Rare in Stellar Miracle—the Japanese counterpart to Stellar Crown. Additionally, don’t forget about Applin 185/167 from Twilight Masquerade, available now in our store!
- Castform: Known for its weather-based forms, Castform’s Illustration Rare showcases its charming adaptability. The card art features all of Castform’s forms, beautifully reflecting the changing weather patterns that this Pokémon is known for in a stylised artwork.
- Cetitan: As one of the newer Pokémon from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Cetitan’s Illustration Rare card shows off the ice-type behemoth in all its glory. The powerful, icy energy radiating from Cetitan will make this card a stunning addition to any collection.
- Vibrava & Archaludon: Fans of dragon-type Pokémon will especially love these Illustration Rares. Vibrava, the pre-evolution of Flygon, is depicted in a desert landscape, hinting at the possibility of an Illustration Rare Flygon to come. Archaludon, a Steel/Dragon-type from Sword and Shield, appears with its signature industrial aesthetic, standing tall and imposing, ready for battle.
Given the popularity of Flygon, it wouldn’t be a surprise if this iconic Pokémon receives its own Illustration Rare in the future, making it a perfect companion to Vibrava in this set.

Full Art Supporter Cards: A Blend of New and Nostalgic Characters
No Pokémon TCG set would be complete without Full Art Supporter Cards, and Paradise Dragona doesn’t disappoint. Three major characters have been revealed as Supporters in this set: Drayton, Drasna, and Lisia. These cards are not only valuable for their gameplay advantages but are also collector’s gems due to their vibrant full-art illustrations.
- Drayton: This new character comes from the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC – The Indigo Disk. His Full Art card captures his confident, determined persona. As the Pokémon world continues to expand, Drayton’s addition brings fresh energy to the TCG, making this card an exciting new collectible for fans of the latest games.
- Drasna: A member of the Kalos Elite Four, Drasna is a well-known dragon-type specialist. Her Full Art card highlights her graceful personality, contrasting with the sheer power of her dragon-type Pokémon. For fans of the X and Y era, this card is a nostalgic trip back to Kalos.
- Lisia: Coming from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Lisia is known for her vibrant and energetic personality, especially in Pokémon Contests. Her Full Art Supporter card brings out her lively and charismatic nature, making it a fan-favorite among those who cherish the Hoenn region.

Black Kyurem and the 2025 Teasers: N’s Reshiram and Team Rocket Returns?
A Black Kyurem EX card was also recently revealed. Black Kyurem is known for its devastating power, combining the attributes of Kyurem and Zekrom.
The reveal of Black Kyurem ties into a much larger storyline that has Pokémon TCG fans excited for the future. At Pokémon Worlds 2024, there was a teaser featuring N’s Reshiram, hinting at an upcoming 2025 Partner Pokémon set. Could we see a return of iconic Pokémon like Black/White Kyurem, alongside Reshiram, and Zekrom in future sets?
